Charlie Murphy's Funeral Service Looked Like A Hall Of Fame For Comedians

While we all grieve at funerals, they're really meant to be a celebration of life. And that's exactly what Charlie Murphy's funeral was.

Because Murphy spent most of his life cracking jokes, both in private and on stage, it doesn't come as a surprise that most of his friends were comedians. His funeral literally looked like a hall of fame...but for comedians.

George Lopez, D.L. Hughley, Dave Chappelle, Eddie Griffin, Cedric the Entertainer, Neil Brennan and Donnell Rawlings all came together to honor their buddy's life.

"Darkness is spreading," Eddie Griffin shared on Twitter. "Paying last respects to brother Charlie Murphy."

The funeral featured a touching pamphlet featuring Charlie's face alongside the words "Live Laugh Love." And because Murphy spent his life as an entertainer, they referenced his birthdate as "first curtain" and the date of his death as "final curtain."

May he rest in paradise.

We bet he's having a good ol' laugh with Prince right now.
