An Eagles Fan Carried His Mother Down 10 Flight Of Stairs During Fire, Invited For A Game By Zach Ertz

The man is a hero!

There was a fire at Brith Sholom House in Philadelphia, on Saturday, at a senior living facility and from the fires emerged a hero who fought hard to protect and save his mother. As reported by 6ABC, a resident, Shawn Smith who is the caregiver of his mother in the facility acted immediately to carry his mother down 10 flights of stairs to save her from fire.

Speaking to Action News, Shawn said that they did not notice the fire at first as they didn't smell the smoke but he added: "And then the hallways on the 10th floor started filling up with smoke. So I grabbed my mother and I threw her over my shoulder and I had to carry her down 10 flights of steps."

He had run down the stairs wearing an Ertz jersey and had no shoes. Zach Ertz saw the report and the man on Action News and invited this hero for a game as he is an Eagles fan. As for the incident, Smith said: "It was a scary situation, but I got my mother out. That was all I was concerned about."

A true hero, he managed to save his mother's life and was deservedly rewarded for his genuine deed.
