Kristi L. Jackson is among the numerous black women entrepreneurs who are creating a space for themselves and becoming incredible role-models for others.
Kristi L. Jackson started the Women CEO Project in 2010 and has grown to become an incredible businesswoman creating a space for herself. It began with a simple idea which she explains on her website, womenceoproject, where she writes " I started Women CEO Project in August 2010, out of a personal need to become a better, more consummate business woman. I did not want to attend another event and leave without tangible business knowledge that could grow my business, make it more profitable, and teach me skills. I searched and searched and could not find the right fit, the right community, or the right mix of business lessons in any organization. So, in 2010, I set out to create what I needed. It became a local, then global destination for current and aspiring business women all over the world who want to also become stronger, wiser and MORE educated entrepreneurs. It’s been 5 years in the making and we are ONLY in the beginning."
After the Women CEO Project, she went on to create a trucking company with her partner and her firm is called October Fourth Holdings LLC. Currently, they own a fleet of trucks which handles logistics, supplies, moving, and bulk transportation throughout the country.
It is because of the incredible work that she has been doing she has won numerous accolades including Humanitarian of the Year,2012, and Women’s Organization of the Year, 2013. She has been working to empower even more women to come out as entrepreneurs and has own success story to inspire them.
