Dennis Haysbert To Play 'God' In The Final Season Of Lucifer

That's amazing!

Lucifer is one of the most-watched television series and was based on the character created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg. The series began in 2016 and Netflix has announced that it will have its 5th season as the final one. And this final season would see the emergence of Dennis Haysbert as God.

Tom Ellis' incredible performance in the series has already made the show a spectacular hit and the fans are giddy about the upcoming news. The show revolves around the character 'Lucifer Morningstar' played by Tom who has chosen to adopt a lifestyle in the mortal realm after leaving Hell.

The show had mentioned God numerous times so far but had shied away from portraying someone physically. Season 3, however, did have Neil Gaiman's voice as that of God but that was it. The fifth season would reveal the physical presence of God and things are expected to take unexpected turns as the show itself has dabbled with numerous possibilities in the past.

Dennis Haysbert is also well-known for his role as the American president, David Palmer, in the breakaway series '24' that was another one of the shows to have a cult-like following. Tom Ellis, too, played a role in that series and hence this could be a reunion of sorts for the two stars.
