He was traveling in his private helicopter along with his daughter and others when it crashed, killing everyone on board. The incident occurred at the Los Angeles County suburb of Calabasas and the investigators are trying to establish the reason behind the crash.
The 41-year-old five-time NBA champ was mourned worldwide and everyone from former President Obama to the celebrities at Grammys stood in solidarity with his family and remembered his contributions to the sports world and the person that he was.
