Michelle Obama's audio recording of her memoirs 'Becoming' won her the prize.
Michelle Obama is one of the most influential people in the world and when she speaks, people listen. The former first lady has now added another feather to her cap and became the second first lady to win the prestigious award after Hillary Clinton.
Her best-selling memoir 'Becoming' was already a fan favorite and the audio recording version of the memoir helped her beat John Waters and the recording of Beastie Boys Book, about the iconic band. She has won the Grammy in the category 'Spoken Word.' Incidentally, Barack Obama has already won the award in the same category twice already.
Moving to the next achievement, the Obamas' Higher Ground Productions has also received an Oscar nomination for their Netflix documentary American Factory and they even stand a good chance at winning an Oscar too.
