People were not having any of it.
The Los Angeles Clippers forward, Patrick Patterson ran into trouble when he compared Black women to bulldogs. As reported by Total Pro Sports, the NBA star was responding to a comment on Instagram that said he would not have had a chance with a white woman had he not been an NBA player.
In his reply, he said: "so I should settle for a bulldog and act like I am happy with my life and preach "keep it in your race" to the world as if Dr. King didn't fight/die for equality, acceptance, all cultures loving one another and no hate? no thanks. that maybe your life but I don't want that for mine or for my family. color doesn't matter. wake up."
Patterson is married to Sarah Nasser, who is white. The fan had asked why he waited until becoming a star to date white women when he hadn't done so earlier. People were not actually mad at him marrying a white woman but for the fact that he had compared black women to bulldogs. He did apologize later but here are some of the replies are presented below:
