A book club is bringing back the words and work that inspired the late legend.
Nipsey Hussle was a man who inspired thousands by his work and his deeds. He was a man who stood for what he believed in and motivated others to live a peaceful, productive life while standing for truth and humanity. The legend, who was killed in March, last year, was also an avid reader and his book list is now becoming an inspiration for many.

The Marathon Book Club was founded after his demise and has numerous chapters across the country. A fan had created a book list of the books that Nipsey read and spoke of and it went viral for all the right reasons as people looked for new ways of engaging with his memory. As reported by LA Times, over 74 black men now meet regularly in various cities to discuss and read the books that inspired the man.
Further, these book clubs are also becoming a sort of healing places for black men who are finding it a safe space to be who they are and to open up. They are discussing life, mental issues, as well as the events in life that shape their destinies. A fitting tribute to a man, the reader who was outspoken in his beliefs.
