Reports state that U.S. Marshals arrested the entertainer before his scheduled performance at the Rolling Loud festival. The arrest was reportedly made after "an extensive investigation conducted by the U.S. Marshals, ATF, and Miami-Dade Police Department’s North Side Gang Unit."
U.S. Marshalls confirmed with the media that Kodak will be charged for state and federal firearms violations. The rapper has been booked into the Federal Detention Center in Miami. The investigation was propelled by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.
Authorities were also armed with warrants which reportedly stemmed back to older firearm offenses. Kodak, whose real name is Bill K Kapri, was arrested earlier this year in April on drug and gun charges near Niagra Falls, New York, while he was trying to enter the US from Canada. He subsequently missed a scheduled performance in Boston.
