Another feather in the cap!
According to a report by Deadline, the 2019 Miss Universe pageant would be hosted by Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. The pageant would be a three-hour-event on Sunday, December 8, 2019. The host of the event would be Steve Harvey for the fifth consecutive year.
Paula M. Shugart, president of The Miss Universe Organization, said: "The Miss Universe telecast is distributed to more than 170 countries." She added, "We have always been proud to give a global platform to diverse, ambitious and strong young women – our leaders of tomorrow."
The Miss Universe pageant would see contestants from 90 countries participating for the coveted crown and showcasing their talents over multiple rounds of interviews and modeling. This would be another cap in the feather of Tyler Perry who currently owns the largest black-owned major film studio and is leaving behind an enviable legacy.
