Tyler Perry Used His Own Personal Plane To Bring Aid To The Storm-Hit Bahamas

The golden-hearted Perry promised the people of the Bahamas aide as soon as the storm passed. He stood by his promise.

The Bahamas has been roughed up with the passing of hurricane Dorian, and while the island waits for any kind of official help, a saving grace has come in the form of a famous Hollywood director. Tyler Perry offered to help the people of the Bahamas as soon as the storm had passed.

Reports state that the actor has held up his side of the promise, and recently used his private plane to ensure the people on the Abaco Islands got the help they needed. TMZ stated that Perry used his personal plane to send drinking water, basic hygiene items, sleeping bags, and other basic necessities to the hardest-hit areas in the Bahamas.

Perry reportedly made two trips to the islands and also shipped a few people to drier land who were in need of medical attention. Perry also transported a pregnant woman who was in immediate need of care.

Perry made a promise on his social media account, promising the residents of the Bahamas that he would help out as soon as the storm passed. It read: "To all the incredible people of the Bahamas who have welcomed me and called me an adoptive son, I want you to know that I am watching closely, and as soon as I can, I will be there to do whatever I can to help you rebuild stronger and better," he wrote on Instagram. "You're not only in my heart and my prayers, you're in my blood. God bless you. Stay Bahamas strong. The sun will shine [again]."

Kudos to this golden-hearted star!
