It could be disturbing for some viewers.
Itlay's health care system is creaking heavily under the intense pressure of extremely critical cases of Coronavirus in the country and a recent video of one of the hospitals in Bergamo, the worst-hit place in Italy, show the harrowing circumstances under which the patients and doctors are finding themselves.
As reported by Business Insider, "The video, broadcast Thursday by Sky News from the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital, shows an emergency arrivals ward. It has been transformed into an ICU."
The head of emergency care at the hospital Dr. Roberto Cosentini said: "It’s a massive strain for every health system, because we see every day 50 to 60 patients who come to our emergency department with pneumonia, and most of them are so severe they need very high volumes of oxygen."
Italy may soon see more than 50,000 confirmed cases while it has already reported deaths more than 4,000. Doctors around the world are also making global appeals to remain isolated and prevent the spread of the virus. The health care systems worldwide are in extremely difficult situations as very few of them had even anticipated an outbreak of this magnitude.
Meanwhile, there have been some good news in terms of vaccination as the human trials have begun but it may yet take more than six months before it could be brought in the market.
