Jamie Foxx becomes the first black lead for Pixar's new movie.
The first trailer of Pixar's new movie 'Soul' has been released and it is set to feature Jamie Foxx as the first-ever black lead in a Pixar movie. The film also stars Questlove, Phylicia Rashad, Daveed Diggs, and Tina Fey. The movie is set to release in June, 2020.
The story is based on the idea that everyone has a soul that comes predefined before they are born. Jamie Foxx will play a character who is a high-school music teacher and plays Jazz on the side. It is his express desire to play at one of the most prominent Jazz clubs in New York but he meets his death before he could realize his dreams. He would then return to the cosmic world of souls and the adventure would continue.
