52-year-old Elaine Mitchell, who is of Greek nationality, was arrested on May 14 for hate crime following a police report that was filed the previous day. The report goes on to state that officers were called to disband a fight that broke out among six to seven women.

When police officers arrived at the scene, the people involved in the scuffle scattered, except for the two victims who were identified as African-American women. The victims reportedly told officers that Mitchell threw rocks at them while yelling out racial slurs and telling them to leave.

The incident report goes on to state that even after the altercation Mitchell stood in front of a parked patrol car and continued to call the women racial slurs. Both the victims also told the officers that Mitchell threw rocks at them while calling out racial slurs.

Police officers noted that Mitchell continued calling the two victims racial slurs and began praying, ''asking God to kill'' the two women. Both the victims confirmed that Mitchell hurled rocks at them while telling them to leave.

The incident report also states that Mitchell said that "because the victims are black, they 'could not afford her' because they are broke minorities". Reports do not explicitly state where the incident took place, however, court records show that Mitchell has been banned from Dotty's located on 1350 E. Flamingo Road as a condition of her bail.

Her next court date has been set for June 18.
